STUDENTS HURT IN SERIOUS ACCIDENT

High School Girl Fatally Injured In Collision Northwest of Moundridge.

Funeral services for Ellen Zerger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Zerger of Moundridge, who was killed almost instantly in an automobile accident northwest of Moundridge late last Wednesday afternoon, were held at the Eden Mennonite church on Saturday. The services were largely attended.

Hilda Kaufman, who also was in the car and was likewise dangerously injured was brought to the Bethel Hospital with a serious skull fracture, but has made marked improvement and her condition gives good promise of her early recovery.

The tragic accident happened when the group of five high school students were returning to their homes from Moundridge after school. According to the report, their car skidded on the slippery road and was s hurled into the side of a truck which they attempted to pass. The others in the car, Reuben Zerger, Vanita Krehbiel, and Eddie Kaufman, escaped with minor cuts and bruises.
