Crash Near Wooster, Ohio Claims Lives Of Three Women

Sugarcreek, Ohio. — A two-car crash at the end of the Wooster expressway on US30 west of that city on Oct. 19 claimed the lives of three women and injured three other persons.

Mrs. Katie Yutzy, 68, wife of Jacob Yutzy of Plain City, Ohio, and Mrs. Dena Troyer, 62, also of Plain City and widow of Noah N. Troyer, died in the Wooster Hospital soon after the accident. Mrs. Elizabeth Ebdy of Wooster died in the wreckage of her station wagon.

The car carrying six persons from the Amish community at Plain City was driven by William J. Plank, 52. His son Wm. Jr., age 10, was reported in critical condition at the hospital. Eli Troyer, 40, and his son Paul,10, also were severely hurt.

Officers reported that Mrs. Ebdy, apparently traveling northwest on Route 250, turned left into the path of the Plain City auto.
