HIGHWAY ACCIDENT IN MICHIGAN CLAIMS LIVES OF BROTHERS 10 AND 3

Fairview, Mich. — Double funeral services were conducted at the Fairview Mennonite church June 11 for David and Thomas Yordy, 10 and three years of age, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Yordy who were killed in a highway accident near Mio, Mich.

The father and two other children were injured in the accident.

THOMAS CHARLES YORDY

David Emerson Yordy, oldest son of Emerson and Rhoda (Handrich) Yordy, was born Apr. 21, 1945, at Alpena, Mich.; died June 8, 1955, age 10 years, one month and 18 days.

Thomas Charles Yordy, youngest son of Emerson and Rhoda (Handrich) Yordy, was born Nov. 16, 1951, died Juen 8, 1955, age three years, six months and 21 days.

They leave their father and mother; one little brother, Franz, and two little sisters, Freida and Cheryl; two grandmothers and one grandfather, Mrs. Sarah Yordy of Ashley, Mich. and William and Marie Handrich of Mio, Mich. and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

David and Thomas went to be with Jesus in a car accident near the home at Mio, Mich. which also injured the father and one brother and sister.

Funeral services were held at the Fairview Mennonite church June 11 in charge of Harvey Handrich and Floyd Yoder. Burial was made in the Fairview cemetery.
