ROMAN YODER

Roman Yoder, 78, of McMinnville, Ore., died Feb. 2, 1997, at his home. He was born Aug. 4, 1918, in Hutchinson, Kan., the son of Menno and Mary Miller Yoder.

Roman grew up in Hutchinson and moved to Sheridan, Ore., in 1939. He married Irene L. Kilmer on June 1, 1941, in Sheridan. He worked for Willamina Clay Products for 18 years and then for Taylor Lumber for 12 years, retiring in 1983. He lived in Sheridan until moving to McMinnville in 1995. He enjoyed gardening and wood.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; three sons, Kenneth and Jerry, both of Sheridan, and Clifford of McMinnville; two daughters, Barbara Lane and Lisa Anderson, both of McMinnville; two brothers, Melvin and Abe, both of Hutchinson; a sister, Catherine Miller of Grove City, Minn.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers, a sister and a grandchild.

Services were held at Sheridan Mennonite Church. Burial was at Sheridan Mennonite Cemetery.
