PAUL DAVID YODER

The early hour of the morning July 29, 1955, marked the closed of an earthly life of a devoted husband, father, and friend, to begin a blissful eternal life with his Father, in his heavenly home.

Paul, youngest child of Amos and Sarah Yoder, was born near West Liberty, Ohio, on March 1, 1899, and departed from this life at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, Ohio, at the age of 56 years, 4 months and 29 days. On Nov. 8, 1925, he was united in marriage with Anna E. Yoder of West Liberty, Ohio. Together they established their home on the old farm, and reared their family there.

He is survived by his wife, Anna, by three daughters (Opal, of Columbus, Ohio; and Shirley and Carolyn, of West Liberty, Ohio); and by one brother, John Ray Yoder, also of West Liberty; and a host of relatives and friends. One brother, Jacob G. Yoder; a sister Lena (Mrs. David Sloneker, and his parents preceded him in death.

He accepted Christ as his Redeemer in his youth and remained true to his faith to the time of his death. He expressed an assurance of being ready to meet his Lord during the last several weeks of his illness. He was a member of the South Union Mennonite Church.

Because of his heart condition and failing health, he with his companion and family, established a comfortable home near the home place a few months ago.

He will always be remembered for his kindly and friendly personality and for his readiness to meet hard situations and suffering with unflinching courage.

Funeral services were held at the South Union Mennonite church on Sunday, July 31, in charge of Bro. Newton Weber, and with Rev. Robert Wearly, pastor o the West Liberty Christian church, assisting. Interment was made in the Fairview Cemetery.
