MARY ELIZABETH YODER

Mary Elizabeth, daughter of Christian W. and Anna Klopfenstein Raber, was born near Wheatland, Mo.

When a child she with her parents moved to Holden, Mo.

On Feb. 15, 1899 she was united in marriage to Samuel D. Yoder, who preceded her Mar. 23, 1946. To this union wee born three children; Elsie J. of the home; Ada, who preceded her in infancy; and Forrest R. of Kent. She also leaves one granddaughter, Kathryn Yoder of Kent, one brother, D. J. Raber of Goshen, Ind., and two sisters, Mrs. D. W. Kennell of Goshen, Ind. and Mrs. L. F. Yoder of Harrisonville, Mo.

In youth she accepted Christ as her Saviour and united with the Pleasant View Mennonite Church near Holden, Mo. She transferred her membership to the Plainview Church near Aurora, Ohio when she and her companion and children moved to their present home in 1911. As long as health permitted she took an active part in the work of the Lord in the church.

In her declining years she enjoyed to hear word and song over the FM radio, a gift of the Plainview WMSA.

Services were held Sept. 24, 1963 at the Plainview Church, conducted by Eugene, Yoder (text I Cor. 2:9) assisted by Elmer Stoltzfus and David Miller. Interment at the church cemetery.
