KATHRYN B. YODER

Kathryn B. Yoder, beloved wife of Floyd R. Yoder, and daughter of Jacob and Lydia (Hartzler) Plank, was born in Logan County, Ohio on Feb. 12, 1892 and passed away of carcinoma at the Mary Rutan hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Oct. 21, 1959 after an illness of several months, aged 67 years, eight months and nine days.

On Oct. 31, 1916 she was married to Floyd R. Yoder of West Liberty, Ohio, who survives with one son and four daughters, Stanley P. of Scottdale, Pa., Phyllis at home, Mrs. Charles (Mary Joan) Scoby of R. 2, DeGraff, Ohio, Mrs. Everett (Ina) Yoder of R. 1, West Liberty and Mrs. Gaylor (Celia) Hooley of R. 2, DeGraff. Also surviving are two brothers, Joseph L. Plank and Samuel C. Plank, both of West Liberty, and 16 grandchildren. One sister, Bertha, preceded her.

She was a life long member of the South Union Mennonite church where memorial services were held for her on Oct. 24, 1959 in charge of Bishop Roy S. Koch assisted by Rev. Harold Wyandt, pastor of the Friends Church of Bellefontaine, Ohio. Burial was made in the South Union Mennonite cemetery.

She and her husband farmed in the West Liberty community until several years ago when they moved to the edge of the town. She was always an active worker in the women's organization of the church. Her patience and sweet helpfulness will long be remembered by her neighbors and friends.
