School Principal Dies When Car Hits Tree

SERVICES HELD AT ELKHART CHURCH FOR HUBER A. YODER, 55

Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Huber A. Yoder, 55, school principal who was instantly killed in a one-car accident Feb. 25, were held Saturday morning at the Prairie Street Mennonite Church, Elkhart. Rev. Howard Zehr, the pastor officiated.

Mr. Yoder was en route from his home in Elkhart to the Baugo Township and Harley Holben grade schools, where he served as principal, when his car skidded on an icy stretch of road and crashed into two trees.

Educated at Goshen College and Indiana University, Mr. Yoder had been a teacher and administrator in northern Indiana schools for many years. He was an active member of the Prairie Street church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Edith Thompson, four children, five grandchildren, one sister and four brothers.
