Aged Farmer Dies From Injuries in Auto Accident.

Belleville, Pa., Sept. 20. — George B. Yoder, 70, retired farmer and life long resident of Allensville was fatally injured Saturday evening when struck by an automobile operated by G. W. Ault, of Belleville.

Mr. Yoder died Monday morning at 5:00 o'clock in the Lewistown hospital where he had been rushed following the accident. He suffered a compound fracture of the right leg, scalp abrasions and internal injuries.

Mr. Yoder is said to have stepped out from behind a parked car when Mr. Ault's Dodge sedan came along from Belleville. The accident happened in front of the residence of Miss Keturah Hartzler in Allensville.

George B. Yoder was born at Allensville, July 20, 1864, a son of Christ and Katy (Kauffman) Yoder, the latter formerly from Johnstown. He was aged 70 years, 1 month and 27 days. He was united in marriage to Savilla King, who survives together with the children. Mr. Yoder was a devoted father and husband; he was a consistent member of the Mennonite church. He leaves a host of friends and relaqtives who mourn his sudden and tragic departure.

Funeral services were held at the late residence Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock and at the Allensville Mennonite Church at 10:00 o'clock in the morning. The services were in charge of the Rev. Aaron mast, of Belleville. Burial was made in the cemetery near the church. — Belleville Times.
