19-YEAR-OLD YOUTH LOSES LIFE IN R. R. CROSSING ACCIDENT

Elkhart, Ind. — Funeral services were held at the Prairie Street Mennonite church here on Feb. 14 for Fred Ray Yoder, 19, who was instantly killed on a railroad crossing accident near here on Feb. 11. He was driving home alone from his work in an Elkhart factory when the tragedy occurred, and apparently did not see the train due to a blinding snowstorm.

The young man is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Yoder; his bride of five months, the former Phyllis Rowe; four sisters and one brother. He was a member of the Locust Grove Mennonite church, where he served as assistant Sunday School superintendent.
