Services Held For Retired Farmer

Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services were held at the Middlebury Mennonite Church Dec. 7 for David E. Yoder,76, well-known retired farmer and lifelong resident of the Middlebury community. Officiating ministers were Early Bontrager, Simon Gingerich and Wilbur Yoder.

Mr. Yoder took his own life by hanging at the home in Middlebury on Dec.4. However, investigation by the county coroner revealed that he had suffered a series of small cerebral strokes which resulted in declining health and "led directly to his death."

He is survived by his second wife, the former Lizzie Umbaugh, three sons, one daughter, 13 grandchildren, and a brother, Harvey Yoder, of Middlebury.
