Christian Yoder

After a lingering illness of nine months, Christian Yoder passed awy at his home at Kishacoquillas on Sunday morning, September 21st, being in Church Services, Sunday, September 14th at the home of Noah Peachey, his death came as a shock to their neighboring community.

He always attended Church when able and was for many years a minister of the Gospel.

He leaves to mourn his departure in life, his widow and six children, Samuel, Mrs. Emma S. Yoder and Mrs. Ezra Yoder of Reedsville; Mrs. Levi Yoder and Daniel of Kishacoquillas, and Mrs. Alpha Kauffman of Belleville and 32 grandchildren. One son preceded him a few years ago, David of Whitehall, who fell dead while at work. Two brothers precede him to the great beyond several years ago. One brother, John, of Ohio and two sisters Mrs. Mary Yoder of Belleville and Miss Fannie of Allensville, still survive him.

In 1839 he was married to Lizzie Yoder, a daughter of Samuel K. Yoder.
