BELVA STUTZMAN YODER

Mrs. Belva Yoder, daughter of Adam and Amanda (Christner) Stutzman, was born at Chappell, Neb. on April 7, 1888, passed away at the Goshen, Ind. General Hospital on July 23, 1963, following a brief acute heart condition. She reached the age of 75 years, two months, and 16 days. In her youth she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with the Mennonite Church. She was a member of the Wellman, Iowa Mennonite Church.

On Nov. 26, 1912, she was married to Joe F. Yoder, who preceded her in death on July 5, two and one-half weeks ago. Surviving are two daughters, Florence and Erma, both of Goshen; one brother, Frank Stutzman, and one sister, Minerva, Mrs. Ezra Yoder, both of Chappell, Neb.

Her parents, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Also two daughters, Blanche and Vera, and two sons, Robert and Ray, were killed in a tornado on Aug. 10, 1924 when the family lived in Thurman, Colo.

Following her marriage she lived in Colorado until 1935 when th family moved to Wellman, Iowa. Upon retirement in 1956, she and her husband moved to 1109 S. 13th St., Goshen, Ind.

Although her health had been failing for the past several years, her death at this time was unexpected. She deeply missed her companion and often expressed her desire to join him and the children with the Lord in the Eternal home.
