. . .

— At Belleville, Pa., death has entered a family circle three times within the short period of one year, according to the following item from the Belleville Times:

"It doesn't often happen that two brothers and a sister are called by death during a period of twelve months, but last April, Menno H. Yoder died; on Feb. 1, his brother Israel S. was called and thirteen days later, their sister, Miss Amelia, answered the summons. They were all residents of Menno township and spent their lives in the vicinity of Allensville.

"Miss Amelia was aged 78 years, 5 months and 28 days, and her entire life was spent in darkness. She was born blind, and during her more than three score and ten years, never saw the sun nor a flower. While she never saw a flower, yet, she delighted in caring for them in her home, and often had many beautiful plants. A private funeral was held in her own home, on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in charge of Rev. Elmer Yoder with burial in the Mennonite cemetery east of Allensville."
