MOTHER OF TWO IS FATALLY BURNED IN HOME ACCIDENT

Archbold, Ohio. — An explosion in the basement of a farm home near Ottokee May 7 claimed the life of Mrs. Carl Wyse, 37. A five-gallon kerosene can with the bottom blown out was found nearby, and it is believed she had used it in an attempt to start a fire in the furnace.

The smoke-filled house was discovered by the bread man on his regular delivery, and a neighbor called the fire department. An infant daughter was found on the second floor, unharmed. Mr. Wyse and an 11 year old daughter were away from home. The house was damaged but did not burn.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wyse were conducted May 9 at the Wauseon Evangelical Mennonite church by Rev. Gordon Zimmerman.
