MRS. ELIZABETH WINSINGER

Mrs. Elizabeth Winsinger, daughter of Jacob and Katherina Rupp, was born March 7, 1879 near Moundridge, Kan., where she spent her youth.

She was united in marriage on Sept. 9, 1906 with D. R. Winsinger. After marriage they lived on a farm northeast of Moundridge. Their home was blessed with the birth of two children, Katherine and William.

In 1943 she and Mr. Winsinger retired from the farm and made their residence in Moundridge. They were privileged to share the experiences of life together for 56 years.

In her youth she confessed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized by Rev. William Galle in the West Zion Mennonite Church where she remained a member until her death. She held a great interest in the work of missions and served actively in the Mission Workers Sewing Society.

Her health failed in recent years and she was largely confined to her home. Because of illness she was committed to the Mercy and Bethel hospitals during various times during the past year. Her earthly life came to a close early on Saturday morning, Dec. 22, at the Mercy hospital, having attained the age of 83 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, D. R. Winsinger; one daughter, Katherine of Moundridge; one son, William, and his wife Joy of Moundridge; one brother C. W. Rupp in the Schmidt Nursing Home, Moundridge; and many other relatives, neighbors and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. John C. Schmidt and Mrs. Fred Meyer.

Memorial services were held at the West Zion Mennonite Church Monday afternoon, Dec. 24. Rev. Harris Waltner officiated.
