— Rev. John J. Willms, formerly a well known teacher and minister in Russia, died February 25 at East Petersburg, Pa., in which state he and his family had resided since their immigration into the United States in 1924. Cause of his death was concer [sic] of the lung. For 12 years Rev. Willms shepherded the small group of immigrants who lived in and around East Petersburg. Besides his grief-stricken family — Mrs. Willms, two sons and two daughters — he is survived by many relatives and friends in this country and in Canada. He was 63 years of age. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Kreider and Rev. Torry, after which burial took place in the cemetery of the local Mennonite church.
