RESIDENT OF CANADA OVER 70 YEARS

Winkler, Manitoba. — Funeral services took place at the Bergthaler church here on Feb. 27 for Mrs. J. Wiens, a lifelong member of the Sommerfelder church who came to Canada from Russia in 175. She died at her home here on Feb. 24, at the age of 93.

Mrs. Wiens, nee Streimer, was born in South Russia n July 1, 1853. She and her husband formerly lived at Kronsgart and Plum Coulee. five sons, four daughters, and a number of grandchildren survive.
