Mt. Lake, Minn. — Funeral services for Rev. H. E. Wiens, 84, long-time pastor and Bible school teacher, were held Dec. 1 at the Mt. Lake Mennonite Brethren Church. He died Sunday, Nov. 27, at the Good Samaritan Center.
Officiating at the funeral were Rev. David Nightingale, the pastor, and Rev. Joe Agee Jr.
A native of the Bingham Lake community near here, Rev. Wiens was a graduate of Tabor college and attended Minnesota State Normal School, Minnesota State University, and Moody Bible Institute. He taught in public schools, in the Mt. Lake Bible School and the Bible school at Lustre, Mont. He also served in the pastorate of the M. B. Church here for many years. He served terms as president and secretary of the Central M. B. Conference and on the board of Tabor College.
