Mrs. A. A. Wiens

Mrs. A. A. Wiens was born Jan. 18, 1866 in the village Fischau, South Russia. In 1876 she came to America with her parents. In June, 1884 on the second day of Pentecost she was baptized by the Rev. Henry Toews and accepted into membership of the Bethel church. She was a member of this church at the time of her death.

Nov. 25, 1884 she was united in marriage to A. A. Wiens. This union was blessed with 14children, two preceding her in death in their infancy. Her entire family was at her bedside before her death. She was 63 years, 3 months and 12 days old when she died April 30, at 5 a. m.

Three major operations left her in a weakened condition. For a time she improved considerably. In February she became ill and her ailment was diagnosed as cancer. Since April 12 she was confined in her bed and her strength failed rapidly during the last week of her life.

She is survived by her husband, 12 children, 34 grandchildren, three sons-in-law, and four daughters-in-law, three brothers, three sisters, four brother-in-law, four sister-in-law and a host of friends and relative who mourn her passing.
