LAND SETTLEMENT OFFICIAL CALLED BY DEATH IN CANADA

Winnipeg, Man. — Funeral services for John J. Wieler, 55, land settlement official of the Canadian National Railway, were held at the First Mennonite Church here June 6. He died suddenly at Saskatoon, Sask., on May 31.

Mr. Wieler, a native of South Russia, was manager of the railway's Saskatoon land settlement department and had been employed by the firm for 29 years. His grandfather was the first Mennonite missionary to the Russian people.
