text of obituary:

JONATHAN A. WIEDEKEHR [sic WIEDERKEHR]

Jonathan A. Wiedekehr [sic Wiederkehr], son of Gottlieb and Verena (Imthurn) Wiedekehr [sic Wiederkehr], was born in Fulton County, Ohio on Aug. 18, 1871, and passed away at his home on Dec. 19, 1963, having reached the age of 92 years, three months and 23 days.

He led an active life, but since July his health had been failing. He had been bedfast only the last two weeks.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Eicher on Dec. 5, 1895. His companion passed away on Sept. 6, 1945, after having shared life's joys and sorrows for three months less than 50 years. They lived on their farm a mile west of Burlington, Ohio for 20 years and in 1913 moved to their present home near Pettisville, Ohio.

He leaves a brother Sam of Archbold, a sister Elizabeth Leu of Wauseon, and some nieces and nephews and also many friends.

Since the death of his companion 18 years ago he had shared his home with Vesta Wenger Koehn, who during his last years lovingly cared for him.

Jonathan, together with his companion, was converted and united with the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, of which he remained a faithful member, having been baptized Nov. 26, 1911. He was a kind and helpful neighbor and friend, was of a cheerful disposition, and dearly loved children. He will be remembered for his spiritual advice and concern for others, and at last his testimony of a full assurance of salvation.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday morning at the Short Funeral Home in Archbold. Opening remarks and prayer were by Lloyd Gearig of Louisville, Georgia and the message by Min. Donald Seller of Carson City, Mich. based on Amos 4:12 and Heb. 9:27.
