JACOB I. WIEBE

Jacob I. Wiebe of Winnipeg passed away on June 25 at the age of 68.

He was born on January 31, 1901 in Rosenort, South Russia to Isbrandt and Sara (nee Neufeld) Wiebe. Through the guidance of his Christian family and teachers, he accepted Christ as ' his Saviour at the age of 18. The following year he was baptized on his faith and accepted into the fellowship of the local Allianz Church. In 1924 he married Elizabeth Penner and their union was blessed with seven sons and two daughters. They emigrated to Manitoba in 1926, where they resided in the Oak Bluff area on a farm until retiring to Winnipeg in 1966.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Mrs. William (Elsie) Dyck of Charleswood, Man., and Mrs. Peter (Johanna) Marten of Vineland, Ont.; seven sons, George of Lowe Farm, Man., Jacob, John, Henry, Peter and Werner, all of Winnipeg, and Walter of Burnaby, B.C.; and 28 grandchildren.
