— Ernest Walter Wiebe, 78, a resident of Whitewater the past 27 years, died there on Monday. Funeral services are announced for Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Emmaus church, with Rev. L. R. Amstutz and Rev. J. E. Entz of Newton officiating. A native of Marienburg, Germany, Mr. Wiebe came to America with his parents in 1889, and they settled on a farm near Newton. For a number of years he was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. A. H. Klassen of Whitewater, and a number of nieces and nephews.
