Benjamin Frank Wiebe

Benjamin Frank Wiebe, son of Abraham and Anna Wiebe, was born January 19, 1911, in Medford, Okla. He grew to manhood in this community. He attended a district grade school and later entered high school, graduating from the Medford high school with the class of 1931. Since then he has been employed at various occupations.

His honesty, friendliness, and his ever-smiling ways won him many friends, who loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.

Upon his confession of sin and belief on the Lord Jesus Christ he was baptized by Rev. John Lichti and became a member of the Mennonite church on May 27, 1928.

On Saturday, August 31, he met with a tragic accident. He was rushed to the General hospital in Enid where all that hands can do was done, but God's loving hand directed him to his heavenly reward. He passed on in a quiet, peaceful sleep on September 5, 1941, at the age of 30 years, 7 months and 16 days.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his deeply bereaved father and mother, two brothers, Edward of Wichita, Kansas, and Arnold and the two sisters, Matilda and Adina, all of the home. An infant brother preceded him in death. Also surviving him are 7 uncles, 4 aunts, a number of cousins, and a large host of friends.

A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled.
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
