text of obituary:

(MRS.) AGNES EBEL WIEBE

(Mrs.) Agnes Wiebe was born in Hillsboro, Kansas on December 12, 1886, the daughter of Edward and Anna Dorn Ebel. She passed away on November 18 after a life of service. Both of her parents died when she was young, and she lived with her uncle and aunt, the Richard Ebels, until she entered college. She became a Christian at the age of ten, and felt a strong call to mission work.

In 1909 she married Frank V. Wiebe. After teaching in Bible schools and conducting evangelistic services, the Wiebes left for mission work in China in 1922. Despite many hardships, they ministered there until returning to Kansas in 1933. Through all difficulties she was able to sing and praise God for his goodness.

For six years prior to Mr. Wiebe's passing in 1951, the couple carried on a mission work in the Ozarks of Arkansas. During the 24 years after her husband's death Mrs . Wiebe continued in faith and prayer: For several years she served as a spiritual counsellor in a home for the aged, and also carried on a tract ministry.

She is mourned by her four sons, Harold, Franklin, Dwight, and Richard; five daughters, (Mrs.) Grace Gubrud, (Mrs.) Rachel Hiebert, (Mrs.) Elizabeth Smith, (Mrs.) Barbara Miller, and (Mrs.) Hope Ortman; many grandchildren and friends.
