WILLIAM HERBERT WICKS

William Herbert Wicks was born February 14, 1925 at Cutknife, Sask., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wicks. He was saved at the age of 13 at Marsden Mission Camp and baptized a year later. He came to North Battleford when he was 19 years old to take a commercial trades course and thereupon found employment at the Saskatchewan Hospital where he worked for 23 years until the time of his death.

He was united in marriage to Mary Siemens, formerly from Main Centre Sask., on September 2, 1967. Both were members of the Mennonite Brethren Church at North Battleford at the time of his death. He loved the Bible study and prayer meetings as well the Sunday services. His friendly personality and his growth in the Lord were an encouragement to all.

He was suddenly called home on March 5, 1968 at the age of 43. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wicks of Battleford's Riverheights Lodge; six brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held in the Mennonite Brethren Church at North Battleford with Rev. Arno Fast ministering.
