Suffers Fatal Attack At Information Center

Lancaster, Pa. — Rev. Daniel D. Wert St. [sic], 64, director of the Mennonite Information Center located on Lincoln Highway East near here, was fatally stricken while working at the center on Feb. 6.

The center is operated in connection with the Mennonite Archives and Library at the same location.

Rev. Wert was ordained a minister of the Lancaster Conference in 1934 and served the Gingrich Mennonite Church near Lebanon. He was a member of the Historical Society of the conference and active on other church boards. He formerly operated a book store in Lebanon and later a motel.

Survivors include his wife, Esther, five children and three grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted Sunday afternoon, Feb. 9, at the Gingrich Church.
