Dies After Long Illness

Wellman, Iowa — After nine years of failing health, Mrs. Homer D. Wenger, 68, died at her home here Sunday, Nov. 29. She had been bedfast for the last three months.

Mrs. Wenger was the former Velma E. Cook of the South English community and was married to Wenger on Dec. 8, 1914. They have been long-time residents here.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Harry of Wellman and Wayne of Lost Creek, Kan.; one daughter, Mrs. Paul Friesen of Hesston, Kan.; one brother, Irvin Cook of Covina, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Sharon Brunk of Goshen, Ind.; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Wellman Mennonite church, Rev. Noah Landis in charge.
