SARAH ELIZABETH WENGER

Sarah Elizabeth (known as Bessie) Wenger, daughter of Abraham and Caroline (Lehman) Wenger, was born near Versailles, Mo. Dec. 17, 1888. She died Aug. 1, 1960 at the age of 71 years, seven months and 15 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, John William and Solomon Okley. She is survived by three brothers, A. Daniel of Aberdeen, Idaho, Jesse W. of Versailles, Mo., and Edward E. of Empire, California.

She united with the Mt. Zion Mennonite church in her youth where she was a faithful member all her life, and active as long as health permitted. Her entire life was spent in Morgan County, Mo., with the exception of short periods spent in Kansas, Colorado, Idaho, and California.

Funeral was held Aug. 4, at the Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, in charge of Protus Brubaker, Amos Gingerich and Paul Hilty. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
