13-Year-Old Bicycle Rider Fatally Injured When Struck by Car
Ephrata, Pa. — Leon M. Wenger, 13, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Z. Wenger of rural Lititz, died at the Ephrata Community Hospital Dec. 15, 25 minutes after the bicycle he was riding was hit by a car.
An eighth grad student at Wood Corner School in Ephrata Township, Wenger was riding home from school at the time of the accident.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 18 at the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church. Surviving besides his parents are two brothers and one sister, all of the home.
