Native of Alsace Died in Iowa

Wayland, Iowa. — Funeral services were conducted at the Eicher Mennonite church for Joseph T. Wenger, 86, a native of Ludwig, Alsace, France who died at his home here May 8. The services were in charge of Rev. H. E. Nunemaker and Rev. E. S. Mullett.

Mr. Wenger, who was baptized at the Mennonite church in Basel Switzerland at the age of 14, came to the U. S. when he was 21. He lived in Illinois, Colorado and Washington county, Iowa before moving to Wayland 14 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, the former Josephine Widmer, five sons, four daughters, 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
