J. WILMER WENGER

J. Wilmer Wenger, 93, of Detroit Lakes, Minn., died July 1, 1993 at Emmanuel Nursing Home. He was born Nov. 2, 1899, at Versailles, Mo., to Louis and Mary Lehman Wenger. He married Alice Stutzman on April 29, 1945, at Detroit lakes.

He was educated at Versailles and moved to Manson, iowa, where he farmed. He lived in California for three years prior to moving in the early 1940s to a farm n Height of Land Township, rural Detoit Lakes, where he lived until entering Emmanual [sic Emmanuel] Nursing Home in 1991.

Survivors include a daughter, Loris Wenger of Frazee; a son, Clair of Detroit Lakes; and four granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1985 and an infant son, Daniel.

Services were held July 5 at First Baptist Church, Detroit Lakes, with Wade Duroe and Ottis Yoder officiating. Burial was in Strawberry Lake Mennonite Cemetery.
