ALBERT A. WEINBRENNER

Albert A. Weinbrenner of Reedley, Calif., son of Reinhart Weinbrenner and Sophia Weyand, was born May 20, 1900 at Hillsboro, Kan.

Upon his confession of faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior, he was baptized by Rev. F. G. Pankratz on June 18, 1920 and received into the membership of the Lehigh Mennonite Church, Lehigh, Kan.

The same minister also officiated when he exchanged wedding vows with Vida Auernheimer, March 2, 1922. Farming was a means he used for earning a livlihood.

They also lived near Littlefield, Texas for three years before moving in 1928 to Reedley, Calif., where they joined the First Mennonite Church. While in Reedley he became the manager of the Butane-Propane Supply Co. In the last years he suffered from poor health which forced him to give up his work in 1957.

Mr. Weinbrenner was always very active and meticulous in his work. He was a fine family man because he had the family interest in mind. He was an usher in the church for a number of years. His graciousness enabled him to meet people and make them feel wanted.

The chapter of his earthly life was ended Friday, March 10, 1961, when he passed on to his eternal reward, having been a patient in the Reedley hospital for one week.

His life will continue to be cherished by his wife Vida; one son, Leland, Fresno, Calif.; one daughter, Betty, Mrs. Ray Funk, Hillsboro, Kan.; two brothers, Oscar, Lehigh, Kan., and Reynold, Santa Monica, Calif.; two sisters, Carrie, Mrs. David Groening, Hillsboro, Kan., and a twin sister Hilda, Mrs. Albert Unruh, Hutchinson, Kan.; nine grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
