Mt. Lake, Minn., Mar. 30. — Mrs. Theo. Wedel passed away at her home at Northfield, Minn., Thursday evening, following a long siege of illness. Funeral services were held at the Episcopal church there Monday afternoon, and a number of Mountain Lake relatives of the deceased were in attendance.
Mrs. Wedel's death followed a siege of cancer, contracted last summer. An operation was attempted last fall but was not successful, and her condition grew steadily worse. Since November she suffered untold agony. Mrs. Wedel was 41 years old, and the mother of two children, Carl, 13, and Gertrude, 8.
Mrs. Wedel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Ewert long-time residents of Mountain Lake, now also residing at Northfield. Her bereaved husband, Dr. Wedel, is a professor at Carleton College. The many local friends of the family extend sympathies.— Mt. Lake Observer.
