MOUNTAIN LAKE, MINN., RESIDENT CALLED AWAY AFTER YEAR-LONG ILLNESS

Mountain Lake, Minn. Dec. 14. — B. B. Wedel, 63, died at his home here Tuesday evening after being seriously ill for over a year. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Bethel church. Services at the Wedel home will be held at 2:00 o'clock.

The Wedels came to Mountain Lake about 20 years ago from California and Idaho. For the past several years they have been operating the tourist Home on the east city limits.

Surviving him are his wife; one sister, Mrs. John Napha of California; and two brothers, Henry and Cornelius Wedel, also in California. — Mountain Lake Observer.

WELL KNOWN MOUNTAIN LAKE SETTLERS CALLED AWAY IN DEATH

Mountain Lake, Minn.—Two well known residents of the community were called away in death here recently. Mrs. Kathrina Bargen, 85, died in the Home for Aged Saturday, Dec. 16, while B. B. Wedel, 63, died Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bargen were held at the Immanuel Mennonite church in Delft, conducted by Rev. H. H. Quiring. Mr. Wedel was laid to rest from the Bethel Mennonite church, Rev. Erland Waltner having been in charge of the services. Mr. Wedel was ill for a long time before death relieved him of his suffering. He and his family had lived in Oklahoma, Idaho, Oregon and California before locating in Mountain Lake.
