PANDORA BOY ACCIDENTALLY KILLED

Pandora, Ohio, Aug. 7. — This community was deeply shocked late last Wednesday evening immediately at the close of the Band Concert to hear of the accidental death of Robert Weber, 5 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Weber, residing 2 miles northeast of Pandora.

The Band had just finished playing when Robert went after a toy whistle and as he stepped out to cross the street he was hit by an oncoming automobile driven by Ralph Basinger. The car was not moving fast at all but hit the boy just high enough to dislocate his neck.

The boy was immediately picked up and taken to Dr. Bixel's office. A hasty examination at once proved the seriousness of the accident and that the boy had but a few minutes to live. The tragedy caused a deep gloom over the whole community. Mr. Weber and family have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their sudden and unexpected bereavement.

Mr. Basinger, who was driving within the limits of the law, stopped his car within a few feet after striking the boy. He was exonerated from all blame by Dr. Bixel, coroner of the county. — Pandora Times.
