MRS. AMANDA WEAVER

Mrs. Amanda Weaver passed peacefully from this life on Nov. 1, 1957, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. W. Davis, near Waynesboro, Va. She was the widow of D. W. Weaver who preceded her in death 22 years ago.

She was born at New Holland, Lancaster County, Pa. on April 22, 1863, and reached the age of 94 years, six months, 10 days. She was the daughter of Joseph and Fannie Hartman Hershey, and was the last surviving member of a family of 13 children.

She moved with her husband to Virginia in 1886. she was a faithful member of the Springdale Mennonite Church. Her pleasant and unassuming manner won for her many friends. She was a devout mother, always ready to help in time of need.

Surviving are seven children, Lena, Mrs. Geo. W. Davis of Waynesboro, Va., Mrs. Anna M. Good of Harrisonburg, Va., Amos H. of Keota, Iowa, Martin E. of Annville, Pa., Jason H. of Stuarts Draft, Va., Aaron L. of Washington, D. C., David B. of Lynchburg, Va.; 35 grandchildren,79 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Springdale church in charge of Bro. Franklin Weaver, a nephew. His text was Psalm 73:24.
