● Services for Ella R. Warkentine, 74, who died Apr. 13 at her home in North Newton, were held Apr. 15 at the Bethel College Mennonite Church, John Esau officiating. Born Ella Rempel, in 1928 she married Gerhard K. Warkentine, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Lois (Mrs. Glenn) Janzen of Newton and Eunice (Mrs. Darrel) Doerksen of Wichita; a brother, Edwin Funk of Hillsboro; a sister, Elizabeth Schmidt of Newton; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
