EARLY-DAY SETTLER IN MARION COUNTY, KANSAS DIES AT AGE 93
Hillsboro, Kan. — Funeral services for Mrs. Bernard Warkentin, who died Nov. 3 at Reedley, Calif. at the age of 93, were held at the Mennonite Brethren church here on Nov. 7.
Mrs. Warkentin, the former Maria Suderman, was born in South Russia and came to the United States with her parents in 1882, settling in the Lehigh community. She had lived at Reedley since 1937. Eight of her 14 children survive.
