Former Oklahoman Passes At Reedley

Reedley, Calif. — Mrs. Anna Warkentin, a pioneer resident of Corn, Okla. before she moved with her husband to California in 1918, died July 26 at the Home for the Aged here. She was 86.

A member of the Reedley Mennonite Brethren church, Mrs. Warkentin was born in Russia and had lived in Reedley for the past nine years. Funeral services were held July 29 at Orland, Calif.

Survivors include three sons, Frank of Dinuba, Leonard of Chico and Jacob of Premont, Texas; four daughters, Mary Warkentin, Mrs. Anna Voth and Mrs. Martha L. Penner, all of Chico, and Mrs. Selma Chastain of Paradise; three sisters, Mrs. T. J. Franz and Mrs. J. E. Schmidt both of Kansas, and Mrs. H. F. Boese of Oklahoma; four brothers, D. W. Siemens of Reedley, Abe Siemens of Oklahoma and Frank and Pete Siemens, both of Kansas; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
