— At Freeman, S. D., the 85 year old Great-grandmother Maria Waltner died Sunday, Dec. 5, after a long and severe illness. Coming to America with her parents in 1874 she experienced the hardships of pioneer farm life on the open prairie near Marion, South Dakota. She is survived by 12 children, 63 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
