Klass Wall

Another name is stricken from the ever lessening roll of our old settlers. Klass Wall was born in Elisabethtal, South Russia, on Jan. 14, 1850. In 1871 he was converted and was baptized by Elder Isaac Peters. In 1875 he came to America. On May 9, 1876 he was united in marriage with Elizabeth Buller. Eight children were born to this union, of which two daughters and one son preceded their father in death. On May 29, 1926 this happy union had the privilege to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. In 1920 Mr. Wall suffered a paralytic stroke and has been ailing more or less since. The last seven months he was confined to his bed a great deal. He passed away on Wednesday, April 20, at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 7 days.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, 5 children, 7 grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services were held last Saturday. Rev. Abr. Ratzlaff spoke at the house, Rev. D. D Unruh and Rev. P. R. Voth officiated at the church. Rev. Peter Flaming spoke at the cemetery.
