ISAAC HENRY VOTH

Isaac Henry Voth, the son of Rev. Heinrich and Sarah Voth, was born on September 16, 1893 in Cottonwood County, near Bingham Lake, Minn. He quietly went home to be with his Lord on February 16,1977. He grew up on a farm in a pastor's home. At the age of 13 he accepted Christ as his Saviour, claiming Luke 19: 10 as the foundation for his faith. In 1907 he was baptized by his father. At the age of 24 years, in 1917, he moved to Manitoba and began a successful teaching career of 46 years in 14 different schools. He frequently told his wife, "I teach because Christ taught." After formal retirement he taught for five more years in the Blumengart and Pembina Valley Hutterite colonies.

On July 10, 1924 he married Maria Wiebe. The Lord blessed this union with two daughters and one son. Mr. Willms served his Lord through his teaching, his music and his friendship. He loved to sing and conducted choirs in various churches. His genuine trust in the Lord resulted in a beautiful living example to the family. He spent his last weeks with his children and grandchildren visiting him, and his resourceful wife and companion at his side. He was a loving husband, father, teacher and friend.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Maria; two daughters, Salome (Mrs. Jacob) Hiebert and Alfrieda (Mrs. Frank) Dyck; one son, John and his wife Shirley; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Peter and Abram; numerous relatives and a host of students, choir members and friends.
