Reedley, Calif. — Funeral services for Chris H. Voshage, 67, former resident of Mt. Lake, Minn., were conducted at the First Mennonite Church here July 29.
Mr. Voshage died in a Fresno hospital, July 25 after a long illness. He farmed in the Mt. Lake area until moving to Oregon in 1952, later going to California.
Survivors include his wife, Kate; a son Harold of Sunnyale, Calif.; six sisters in Minnesota and one in Oregon.

CHRIST H. VOSHAGE
Christ H. Voshage was born to Harry and Stintje Schipper Voshage on July 14, 1896 at Little Rock, Iowa. The Lord called him to his eternal rest on July 25, 1963 at the age of 67 years and 11 days.
In June 1917 he was baptized by Rev. Jacob Stoesz upon the confession of his faith and received into the First Mennonite Church of Mountain Lake, Minn.
On June 19, 1924 he was united in holy matrimony with Kate Teichroew, with whom he shared life's joys and sorrows for 39 years. This union was blessed with a son, Harold. They made their home in the Mountain Lake area until 1952, when they moved to Dallas, Oregon. In 1960 they moved to their present home in Reedley, Calif. where they joined the First Mennonite Church on Nov. 20, 1960. During past years he was active on the Mountain Lake Township school board, was a church trustee in Mountain Lake, and at various times served as Sunday school teacher and as a member of male quartets.
In the fall of 1962 his health began to fail. He was hospitalized two weeks prior to his death.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Kate; his son Harold and wife Carol of Sunnyvale, Calif.; seven sisters, Mrs. Leo Behrends of Indpendence, Oregon, Mrs. Anna Wall, Mrs. George D. Rempel, Mrs. Henry H. Bartel, Mrs. Ella Bartel and Mrs. A. A. Teichroew, all of Mountain Lake, and Mrs. Emil Zirul of West St. Paul, Minn.
He was fond of music and especially enjoyed “Great is Thy Faithfulness” and ”In the Sweet By and By.” His favorite Scriptures were Psalm 23 and Psalm 121. His family rejoices in the assurance that one day we shall be reunited with him in Heaven.
