— Funeral services for Gerhard B. Unruh, 77, were held Thursday morning, Sept. 10, at the Tabor Mennonite Church, with Rev. John Gaeddert officiating. Mr. Unruh, who had been in failing health for some time, died Sept. 7 at the farm home north of Goessel. He was a native of the Goessel community and farmed there most of his life. Survivors include his wife, the former Anna K. Schmidt, a resident of the Bethesda Home; a son, Karl of Enid, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Dirks of Wichita, Mrs. Wilbert Reimer of North Newton and Mrs. Erna Seeney of Matfield Green; nine grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters.

October 26, 1970

Gerhard B. Unruh died Sept. 7. The funeral was Sept. 10 in the Tabor Church. Rev. John Gaeddert officiated, and burial was in Tabor Cemetery. He leaves his widow, Anna, who is now in Bethesda Home in Goessel, three daughters and one son and their families. A public sale was held on Oct. 24, at which the 20-acre farm was sold for $8,000. Some farm machinery, tools and many household articles were sold. — D. S. T.
