Ben T. Unruh

Funeral services for Benjamin T. Unruh, who passed away at his home in the west part of town at seven o'clock on the evening of December 21, were held from the Halstead Mennonite Church last Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. John Becker of Galva, Okal., and Rev. John A. Koehn of Cimarron, Kans., officiating. Interment was made in the city cemetery.

Benjamin T. Unruh was born march 13, 1869 in Russia and passed away at the age of 62 years, 9 months and 8 days, death coming as a result of cancer of the pancreas. He, with his parents came to America in 1874 and settled in McPherson county and later on a farm near Halstead where he grew to manhood.

On December 20, 1890 he was married to Miss Eva Becker who preceded him in death about two years ago. To this union were born four sons and four daughters all of whom survive.
