ARTHUR D. UNRUH
Arthur D. Unruh was born March 9, 1890, near Peabody, Kan. He died Jan. 26, 1988, at Memorial Home for the Aged, Moundridge, at the age of 97.
He was married to Katherine Wiens on Dec. 14, 1919. She died Dec. 25, 1980.
He spent 57 years in the shoe business. He was co-owner of The Bootery in Newton. He moved to Hutchinson in 1943.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Kaufman of Hutchinson, Kan.; three sons, Robert A. of Lakewood, Colo., Bruce of Halstead, Kan., and Gene of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; a brother, Walter of Halstead; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 30 at First Mennonite Church, Hutchinson, with Richard Ratzlaff and Marlin Kym officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
