HEINRICH UNGER INSTANTLY KILLED WHILE HELPING FATHER BLAST STUMPS

Black Creek, B. C. — A tragic accident happened here recently when Henrich [sic Heinrich] Unger, 28, was instantly killed while helping his father with blasting stumps.

Since there is considerable ground to be cleared in this section, Mr. Unger had done much blasting before but always exercised the greatest of care. On the last charge, however, he attempted to put a few shovelfuls of dirt over the charge after the fuse had been lit, evidently not hearing his father's warning to run away.

The blast hurled the young man 500 feet, causing instant death. Mr. Mr. [sic] Unger's head was badly crushed.
