MR. DAN UNGER, 36

Mr. Dan Unger, 36, of Killarney Park M.B. Church in Vancouver, died on Sunday afternoon, January 12, 1964. In the prime of his life and from a peaceful slumber, he was suddenly called Home by his Lord and Master. Since he had not been ill, his passing was very unexpected.

Mr. Unger was born on Christmas day in 1927, in McLeod, Alberta. In 1930 his parents moved to Coaldale where he attended school. Here in his early youth, Dan accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour, and on June 30, 1944, was baptized and received into the M.B. Church.

With his parents he moved to Kelowna, B.C., in 1947. He was a willing worker in the church there, being active in the Sunday School, in the choir, in the Church Council, and as Secretary. He was married on Sept. 30, 1949. Shortly after this he moved to Clearbrook, B.C. where he worked as an accountant in a business firm. In 1955 he moved to Vancouver where he held a position in a finance firm. He continued to serve the Lord devotedly in the Church, where even on the last day of his earthly life he was active in Sunday School, and sang in the choir in the Sunday morning worship service. Mourning his death are his wife Mary, and their three young children, Esther, Evelyn, and Donald, who look to the Lord in this time of great need, for comfort, sustenance, and guidance, knowing and claiming His promise: "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Also surviving Dan are his parents, two brothers, four sisters, as well as relatives and friends.
